About Scientia - Founders' Bios

Scientia was founded by Dr. Michael Gibbs and Ms. Peggy Gibbs. Dr. Gibbs, Chief Executive Officer of Scientia, is an internationally recognized organization design consulting and education professional who is a principal with Gibbs and Associates, a company that has conducted executive seminars on organization productivity and effectiveness for more than 500 companies worldwide. Dr. Gibbs, who has consulted with the U.S. Department of Education, the Santa Clara County Department of Education and “best practice; companies like GE and Cisco Systems, was appointed to the Governor’s Binger Commission tasked to overhaul the Cincinnati School System. He also served on the Lakota School District Business Council to design a high school business curriculum, and on their committee to design a new high school.

Ms. Gibbs, Scientia’s Chief Business Development Officer, is the Vice President for Business Development at Benetech, a company that develops technology solutions to make profound social change in the world. With a strong background in the creation, development and deployment of initiatives in health care and education, Ms. Gibbs brings more than 20 years experience in resource and strategic partnership development, program start-up and implementation, including facility design and building, and community and county-wide outreach of multi-site initiatives. Ms Gibbs has been active with several education initiatives including acting as the Director of BrainWise Learning, and is trained in developmental disabilities learning styles. Work with teachers, principles and schools. Building experience, Smart Start Centers, and Family Resource Center at Overfelt, Co-founder of the Santa Clara County Partnership for School Readiness creating a coalition of public, private agencies and funders who cared deeply about educational excellence and outcomes and used the combined abilities and resources to determine what would in fact create best educational outcomes.
